Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for the infrastructure that sustains our world, today announced that Dr. Alfredo Castrejón, Bentley territory vice president for Latin America, has been named among the 100 leaders of Mexico’s energy industry by Petróleo & Energia – one of the top publications focused on the oil, gas, and energy industries in Mexico. Others in the list include Georgina Kessel Martínez, Mexico’s secretary of energy; Juan José Suárez Coppel, CEO of Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX); Alfredo Elías Ayub, director general of Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission (CFE); and Jaime Buitrago, president of Exxon Mobil Mexico.
Castrejón’s broad experience in the energy field includes more than 10 years working with and advising energy and other organizations throughout Latin America to ensure each has the right software and services to successfully sustain its infrastructure. During this period, Castrejón:
introduced computer-based simulations of processes to key public and private energy organizations in the region,
provided consultation on the use of solar as an alternative energy source, as well as on pollution dispersion in bodies of water and the atmosphere,
served as a technical advisor for some of the most important power generation companies in the region, including PEMEX and CFE.
“Alfredo is an extremely talented and capable member of the Bentley team, and his long list of accomplishments continues to grow,” said John Riddle, Bentley senior vice president, Building and Plant Sales. “For example, in 2005 he was selected to join then U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez and executives from 17 other prominent U.S. businesses on an important trade mission to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. The group’s goal was to highlight U.S. business opportunities and strengthen trade ties in Central America.”
Riddle continued, “Through Alfredo’s hard work and dedication, Bentley has established strong business relationships in Latin America. On behalf of all Bentley colleagues, I congratulate Alfredo on this well-deserved recognition.”
