A standard model for the cadastre

This name has a paper presented at the Third ISDE Congress held in the Czech Republic in 2003.

The document makes a proposal as it could be a cadastre model, seeking to avoid duplication of individual initiatives; while the data interaction between portals content may be less painful … what suits me now is that I’m working on a conceptual document cadastre. This model provides a set of data known as “common ground” with no specific limit on the premise that could be adapted to the different variations that exist in every country, territory, including corporate formation, levels of accuracy, finality vocation.

The document is very good, a great smoke, is the result of the review of different models in countries like Holland, El Salvador, Bolivia, Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Greece, Australia, Nepal, Egypt, Iceland, and several African and Arab countries . In its introductory section describes the various initiatives which are binding standards including OGC, INSPIRE, EULIS, ISO Standards, Cadastre 2014and the FIG.

Cadastral Domain Model

The document works at UML diagrams level, different kinds of objects classes, based on the three leading figures of the cadastre:

• Object (Object property)
• Subject (Person)
• Law (Law or alteration)

This is the fundamental principle of any registry, which seeks to keep the relationship between people and property by acquired rights, whether registered or de facto. Then special classes are detailed for each of them, with specific colors, including:

• Surveying Classes
• Geometry and Topology
• Legal and Administrative Classes
• Control of historical changes

Then in the end they smoke marijuana assuming how it could handle objects in three dimensions and legal space. Pitifully Spanish version does not include the respective colors of the original document and pixel images are terrible, so I recommend having version in English. The Spanish content is also extracted and does not include topics such as the examples built on gml.

A great document, I recommend reading it and save it in your egeomates library because sooner or later may need it.
