The finalists of the 2012 Be Inspired

Bentley has announced about 60 finalists’ projects for the 2012 Be Inspired Awards, which will be held for the third time in Holland 5 to November 7 further comprising the symposium and annual conference.

Unlike last year, we see a decrease in the Latin American projects which previously excelled with the theme of plants and cadastre; there are now just two projects in Brazil, as in Spain where one appears in the geotechnical area. So this is what distribution remains, which in my opinion is Bentley’s efforts priority in the geoengineering field; it can be seen how emerging powers have a great time and how GIS for Bentley is just one application to other disciplines as several of the projects have this approach:

• 40% in the U.S.
• 24% in Europe
• 20% in Asia
• 8% in Oceania
• 5% in Africa
• 3% in Latin America

Here are the projects’ list, in red are those which in my opinion will win, though I’ve used the more attractive image as some of them despite being very innovative, when listened you see that a good PowerPoint course and creative design could be okay for them. :)
